I started using an ATM to do my banking back in the late 1970s. Back then, they were extremely convenient. Lately, it seems like anything but convenient. I don’t visit a kiosk very often, thanks to digital and online payments. Now I use them for an occasional deposit when someone writes me a check, or if I need cash. Like most people, I don’t carry much money anymore. So I only use an ATM three or four times a year. While the technology has improved in some machines, there always seems to be some minor issue. And anytime I need one, they’re often temporarily out of service…
