Last week they issued an Amber Alert here in Tennessee for 9 year old Carlie Trent who was taken from school by her uncle Gary Simpson. The alert has now spread across the US. But that got me to wondering just how successful is the Amber Alert program. With the rise of social media and smartphones I have to believe that these frequent alerts help locate the missing children, but what are the numbers?
