Today is Labor Day, and I’m somewhat confused. What is Labor Day anymore? The government created the holiday to honor our blue-collar workers, those who labored. It’s supposed to be a day where we pay tribute to those who, as Donna Summer would say, work hard for the money. But we don’t live in a country that’s focused on labor. Many jobs like that have moved to countries like Japan, China, or Mexico. I don’t want to lose a day off, but we may have to revisit what the day represents…
