Great minds… I was just thinking about Peaches last night, Kevin. The big one by Military Circle, of course. Two reasons, I suppose. We went to Schoolkids in Raleigh Saturday, mainly to see Dexter Romweber and his sister Sara play, but we got some cool discs/records, as well… anyway… Schoolkids is a great little shop, with a stage for band to play, great vinyl/45s/CDs (used and new), smart music folks, and the entire place would basically fit into the area between the front door of and where Peaches’ cash registers ended. So, I was thinking about the size difference there, I guess. Also, I witnessed one of the most spectacular lightning storms of my life coming out of Peaches one night; it was miles away, so no threat, just a grand light show.

Just after we left Raleigh, the tornadoes hit… basically right where we had been just an hour or so before.

That night, after the tornadoes passed our area (missing our house by a half mile or so), my girls and I watched another of those 300-mile long lightning storms.
