By now, you’ve probably heard about the government’s plan to stop minting pennies. They found it costs more to make them than what they’re worth. There are still numerous questions about how all of this works moving forward. The government suggests rounding prices to the nearest 5¢. I’ve yet to read exactly how sales taxes will work into this. The good news is that if you still have pennies, you can use them because they’re legal tender. But you won’t be getting any back as change. But all of these changes still pose one problem. The nickel costs even more to mint than the penny…
